Hey y’all, here from reddit (see ya!). I was a twelve year user of the site and was active-ish in the WvP subreddit for the past few years; deleted that account today in support of the blackout.

Hopeful for the future here – what I’ve read about fediverse so far has me feeling optimistic.

The writing that I’ve seen on the site hasn’t been super polished; I’ve only looked at articles related to Grusch, and hadn’t heard of NN before this story, but I’m not floored by the editing either.

I’d be pleased to get involved. I was a twelve-year reddit user who observed most of the changes in the community following the Digg exodus; I deleted my account today in support of the blackout, and because I’ve been frustrated by the site’s direction for a while.

I’ve offered to help Thalassa & the other reddit mods with things like weekly Best Of threads, but there have been enough veteran users over there to assist when needed that I’ve never been been taken up on it :P

I did moderate three microscopic subreddits, but their traffic was nil so it hardly counts as experience.
