I’m all for donations, but comment awards just sucked tbh. Opening Reddit felt like opening some microtransaction-ridden mobile game.

I’ve been getting a new phone every 4 years, but it isn’t hard to answer your question tbh. New products feel amazing. Companies invest millions if not billions of dollars in marketing to make you crave the newest device, even if yours is quite decent. I think that’s also the reason Apple pays so much attention to the packaging and their setup wizards so that getting a new product is an almost magical experience you want to relive. Ask any person with a shopping addiction, they’ll explain to you the rush of a new product like no one else.

MacOS, yes I’m happy. Due to my job in IT I lost all interest in tinkering with computers in any way, shape or form.

Maybe not a MUST know, but playsuisse.ch offers free TV shows and movies for people living in Switzerland. The library is nowhere as extensive as Netflix or Prime, but it’s completely free to use and has lots of good documentaries.
I assume that they mainly focus on Migros / Coop, right? Or do they also cover Aldi and Lidl products?
Interesting, thanks for the insight!
No, but I still don’t advise doing anything illegal. People on online forums act like Piracy is a “cool edgy” crime to partake in, but at the same time you don’t really want to get in legal trouble later down the road for seeding some stupid TV show. If you need to pirate stuff and want to avoid legal trouble just get yourself an Usenet subscription.
Not a fan of any monetary way to give extra visibility or attention to some comment. I think there’s a kind of slippery slope involved in such dynamics. Just my opinion though, nothing wrong with yours.
