Yeah, that’s pretty much it exactly. Great book, oddly enough that is pretty much world building but not greatly part of the story.

Typing is one of those things that is just experience. Grab a typing test program and put in the time. It took me a few weeks, starting with doing simple things like the equivalent of jkjlj; sets until my pea brain got the minimal amount of muscle memory to be able to use it in the wild. YMMV but I can still use QWERT as well, but it feels weird and not as natural anymore.
It’s not DNS
There’s no way it’s DNS
It was DNS
I looked this up because I was curious, according to the CDC 4171 people have died from influenza in 2024 so far
There’s the chubbyemu video on ramen
Can you give an example of a job you would need a car for in Paris?
Google fiber just rolled out to my neighborhood a couple months ago, I’m not sure how they prioritize rollout but I guess it’s still happening as long as Big ISP doesn’t have a monopoly stranglehold on the area.
Cool, that’s interesting to hear. I played for a month or two when it came out and pretty much abandoned it because it was boring and didn’t seem like anything was going to be fixed. Maybe I’ll try it out again. Need something to play while drinking a few beers that’s not rocket league lmao
Like the others said you can map the keys however you want. I removed caps lock and put shift there. I mapped all the numbers to a numpad-like layout on it’s own layer, so all of those numbers and special characters are on one hand without needing to lift. The rest of them are on the normal number row on the main layer.
I actually don’t use the two “middle” buttons at all
My friend has the TTCs and while I’m linear gang they did feel and sound pretty good and I’m looking to try them out sometime as well.
I’m going through Kate Bush’s discography, I didn’t give everything a full listen after Stranger Things came out. I ended up ordering Never For Ever on vinyl.
Hi there, I placed an order for one of those enclosed lily58 cases at the beginning of the month and I’ve been trying to get in touch to get an update on it. Looks like you’re more responsive on social media, can you reach out to me?
If you really don’t think it belongs don’t just downvote it, report it as well.
Nothing wrong with using individual cables. Theoretically, there isn’t a problem with using the daisy chained connector unless you’re really sucking down a lot of power. I’ve always used individual cables just to be safe.
I’ve learned that in these scenarios, show it to somebody else. They’ll see the stupid mistake you made within seconds.
Makes sense, motivation is very powerful. It helps to also not be jaded from years of working in the area.
I finished The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson a couple days ago. I liked it very much. The ending was a cliffhanger, but I think I liked it that way. I read Anathem a few months ago and thought it’s ending felt rushed or forced even though it had closure.
Next up, I’m going to try reading Strong Towns to better understand the movement after watching Not Just Bikes complain about awful American city planning for years. Hopefully, I’ll come out the other side with a better idea of how I can help my city grow sustainably.
Funnily enough I had the issue with this comment, but I popped out to profile settings and set it to English and now I can see it. Thanks!
Pointing it out, it does look weird so I did some looking.
He’s got it listed on his website and it apparently is shown in an art gallery in Georgia: https://www.thebillmayer.com/original-1/lady-camembert-the-cheeseball
and there’s an article talking about it from 2018, so I’m leaning toward it just looking a little awkward but not generated. https://fashionmaniac.com/quirky-portraits-by-bill-mayer-imagine-flora-and-fauna-as-high-society-humans/
