    Did it end up cheaper than a pre-built?

    Where’s the thread where you got all the advice? I’d be curious to see that. Thank you!

      It was about $850, plus some to replace some cables. The prebuilts I saw in the same price range were a lot weaker. I also got lucky with prime day, got to upgrade a few parts for the same price.

        Congrats that’s a great build for 850$. Remind me of my first build in 2013 and I only just replaced that.

        Oh, very cool, thanks. Does that thread have all the specs of your new PC? I’d be curious what you got for 850. I travel a lot and got a gaming laptop a few years ago but I am curious what gaming PCs you can build from under a thousand these days
