Forecasters warned of “DVD-size hail” as stones larger than grapefruits bombarded an area near Lubbock.

minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilinkEnglish1•21 days agoEspecially in Texas, grapefruit is the largest citrus crop in the state and so very large grapefruit are regularly available. Also DVD are very thin and light which makes my immediate reaction that these are less dangerous hail somehow.

DVDs just aren’t bigger than grapefruits.
Especially in Texas, grapefruit is the largest citrus crop in the state and so very large grapefruit are regularly available. Also DVD are very thin and light which makes my immediate reaction that these are less dangerous hail somehow.
