    He’s a horrible fucking person but true or not I think that’s a fucked thing to make fun of someone for. Ridicule his words and behavior, not his illnesses and other such things that he can’t control which he shares with many other better people. Maybe I’m overthinking but it just seems to miss the point

      I basically agree with this…unless they’re a bully who punches down against marginalized folks on a regular basis.

        The problem is insults like that carry an unsaid message that someone with such a condition is lesser.

        That argument is basically saying homophobia is okay when the gay person is a horrible person.
        If it was just that single person being hurt, it might be something different, but the problem discrimination is that it hurts all other members of that community.

      When you don’t like someone, it’s ok to make fun of them for anything, even things they can’t control.

      Now if it’s someone you like, no one is allowed to make fun of them for things they can’t control. Or something.
