This community is quite eye opening. Didn’t know much about the origins of Lemmy until stumbling upon this.
The biggest head scratcher for me is that they identify themselves as Leftists. If they are left and I’m not Right, what am I? Centralist? I’m never much into names and titles because they are used and abused, but my curiosity is winning out.
It turns out people like you and I are also far-right. They call it “liberal” (usually spelled “shitlib”), and you are just as evil as everyone else who isn’t them.
In my opinion labels aren’t all that meaningful anyway, they’re more for marketing/propaganda and grouping people into teams than accurately representing ideas.
