We have structured our businesses and governments to have a hierarchy where naturally the person at the top has the most authority. Then, we reward the social dominators in society by setting up the perfect system for those who crave authority to achieve authority over others.
As long as this continues, the next violent weirdo who wants maximum authority will fill the job. Since people like that exist and humans are fallable, then we shouldn’t let anybody have that much power.
