    That would be the best corner at the party. I would understand about 1/4 of what you’re saying, which is enough for me. Small talk about soil!

      I touch on this in another comment. Soil subgroups have diagnostic features that group them together, just like animals prior to Linnaeus.

      For instance, clay translocation (lessivage) from the surface horizon to the immediately underlying horizon causes clay enrichment in the underlying horizon and that groups the soil as a luvisol.
