    In the article, it says they’re also preparing for what a Kamala victory would mean for the EU. This just seems like pragmatic preparation for both eventualities.

      Of course they are preparing for both scenarios. Anything else would be stupid.

      That said, preparing for a Trump presidency is a bit of a different animal. Basically it would mean kissing our closest ally goodbye and fundamentally redefining Europe’s place in the world.

      Preparing for a Harris presidency is a bit more business as usual. Making an strategies for best possible cooperation with the new administration and just doing politics.

        Problem is they seemed all to happy to go back to “business as usual” when Biden got elected. Trump is a symptom of the US problems. Even without him the underlying problems stay and the next demagogue can pick up his position. The last 8 years should have been used to make Europe stand on its own feet much stronger.
