If we do in fact end up in some Mad Max hellscape I can almost guarantee you that the likes of Trump and Musk wouldn’t survive to see it. Not only because angry citizens freshly unbound from the rule of law will know who is responsible for their situation, but also simply because if you drop an oligarch they drop a lot of loot. Without the police and prison system to back them up, that makes them an easy mark.
