China’s never done anything wrong, Palestine is faultless and the Middle East can be solved easily by trump (I know more than you’ll write out in reply to my oversimplification of propaganda), random snippets siding with the confederacy for some reason. Reddit and Facebook are going wild.

I’ve been on TikTok (still am) and that has not been the sentiment I’ve seen. Certainly not all at once. Though TikTok post-ban is fuckin wild right now. Force you to follow Trump, mysteriously unfollowing AOC and other left wing influencers.

Reddit, google, meta, apple, all of them are owned by maga tech bros. Even TikTok now. You should not be surprised that you are seeing propaganda right now and I’m not talking about TikTok refugees.

I assumed it was TikTok based on their post histories. Do you believe they’re bots approximating the appearance of users with a history of using TikTok?

Also, what’s this about TikTok’s ownership?

I couldn’t say. Just that that discourse doesn’t track with my experience on TT.

Ownership hasn’t changed on TikTok, but they made a very obvious maga prop announcement when TikTok came back online thanking Trump. Even though the app is still banned. The Singaporean CEO also attended trumps inauguration right alongside the CEOs for google, Amazon, meta, and twitter. Then there’s the algorithm changes. We lost TikTok to the maga movement without them even having to sell.

All I can really affirm, then, is something’s fishy in the state of Denmark.

How’s TikTok responded to the changes? Generally nonplussed or negatively?

To be honest with you I haven’t seen anything on TikTok lately except for people realizing that the app has changed and the information is filtered. Supposedly there’s global anti maga protests going on? And we are not seeing it in the states. Nothing meaningful anyway.

The protests aren’t exactly huge. It’s mostly some ~dozens of people in large, populous cities protesting simultaneously and independently. If they were large, goal-oriented gatherings, I’d have far more hope than I currently do. I can’t imagine why they’re even reporting on them. Nothing will come of society’s final whimpers.
