US President Donald Trump has said his administration temporarily halted foreign spending to “look at the scams, dishonesty, waste and abuse that’s taking place in our government for too long”.
That included $50m “sent to Gaza to buy condoms for Hamas”, the president said, repeating a claim made earlier by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
“You know what’s happened to them? They’ve used them as a method of making bombs,” Trump said in televised remarks.
The US Agency for International Development (USAID) contraceptive funding for 2023 does not list any funding for condoms for the entire Middle East region that year.
Now I’m dying to know how to make a bomb with a condom.
FIrst, fill it with water…

J. Post lies so much, it’s hard to take this seriously… But my mind toys with the idea, regardless.
I wouldn’t doubt that it’s been tried, with some kind of airborne delivery. Whether that delivery made use of condoms or not is questionable, how widespread or successful the attempts have been is unclear.
But it might be technically feasible, though I would not expect condoms to be the best choice.
Necessity is the mother of invention?
You mean there’s actually some truth to this?
Also, bombdom.
I mean, to the extent of using a helium-filled condom as a super-inaccurate delivery device for a very small explosive or smoldering tinder, yes. Balloons, trash bags, plastic dropcloths would all work better.
Better not use a trojan. If you can make a condom into a bomb, there’s a leak and it’s a bad condom.
Me too, tbh
