Researchers began interviewing youth in custody in 1998 and continued until 2011. They had a sample of about 1,700 people and followed their paths from youth to adulthood.

    I love working with the incarcerated population. I wish we had more correctional facilities that were truly rehabilitative; right now it breaks my heart too much to work in one.
