    Yup, I’m with you.

    Mind you, if it was an all the time thing, it seems kinda boring, but as an occasional thing, it’s fun. It extends replay value, and sometimes lets you see things in the game you don’t have time for normally.

      My mind always goes to my long running Sims 4 save file that’s somehow lasted about 3 years despite the hundreds of mods (many of which are abandoned and a couple by a mod author who sadly passed away) and countless game updates in that time.

      I’ve mostly played with mechanics as they exist in the game and mods but I’ve gone to cheats when it better helps the overall story I’m going for, or just I’m getting bored with a given branch of the family tree and want to move it along.

      Sometimes that means I’m skipped some annoying grinding, sometimes that means I’m exploiting unpatched exploits, and sometimes that means I’m using cheats because a mod broke something, or even just trying to make something look better. It enhances my play and I’d probably have less fun without it
