    I don’t think “power” in this case refers exclusively skill with a wand. Ron also had a lot of “wizarding street smarts” which proved invaluable to Harry and Hermione, as they were both raised by muggles.

      That’s a good point, and Harry’s exposure to Ron’s family is a huge reason why Harry retained a semblance of morality despite his heroic status.

        In the books, Ron is the one who explains terms like “parselmouth” and “mudblood”, and their associated connotations.
