My family spent three days in your wonderful city. We did the touristy things, kept the hotel window open (“Chicago Fire, Med, and PD are all live right now!” I exclaimed to my wife as the 5th fire engine of the early, early morning sang its equally-weary song. She was not amused.)

The Shedd is still under construction, the Museum of Science and Industry is amazing, the Bean/Cloud Gateway is shiny, and Rossi’s is my new favorite dive bar.

Thank you, Chicago, for the trains and the easy walking. Uber drivers - you guys and gals and non-gendered folks are simply the best at getting through a congested city while showing almost no stress. You are machines. My love and all the custom $10 tips.

I was being jaunty, much like the dude who dared place in the driving lane outside of the Embassy Suites. Never saw a Chicago tow truck move in like that.
