I know none of these are particularly good for any number of fingers. I normally do use better custom layouts, but my new phone only has QWERTY, AZERTY, and QWERTZ as options. Installing an app for a different keyboard layout is not an option. Do people who use these on their phones have any input as to which, if any, is best?

I was growing up with QWERTZ, so I got used to that. My laptop has a QWERTY keyboard but I switched the ZY keys physically and I learned where the special characters of my language are, e.g. I know I had to push the ; key to type é

It would be annoying if the layout wouldnt be the same on different devices.

I don’t know what phone do you have, but cant you just install a different keyboard app? On android I actually never used the default one.

It probably does just come down to what i’m used to, which is none of these. I’ve used totally custom layouts on my computer and smartphone for years.

I don’t mind having different layouts on different devices, mostly because 10-finger typing on a computer keyboard is so different from 2 finger typing on a phone, and what’s good for one usually isn’t for another.

The phone is a Light Phone II. The OS is based on Android but i don’t know how or want to hack it and install other keyboard apps.
