They are a hypocrite, yeah. Their family migrated to Canada from Russia but then talk about how bad Canada is and how good Russia is.

like bruh, your family left Russia because of how bad it was.

The worst part of this for me is that none of them are even communist really, they just hate NATO and love modern day Russia for some weird reason?

Like I actually like the idea of proper commune style communism, being a fairly far left socialist (and also wanting to see the capitalist/imperial American system fall and/or replaced with something better). But none of these lot are actually communist in the slightest (as I said) they are literally just anti-west / pro-auth / pro-Russia people…

They are pro-authoritarians. It is the authoritarian part which they love. It is pure chance that they have fixated on communist terms, because they could as well be MAGA fascists, they share all their opinions with that crowd, which loves authoritarianism as well.

Came here to say this. They present themselves as left-leaning, pro-social justice. But if you look at their sympathies and where they have the most affection… it’s countries run by a strong single person: China, Russia, similar. Those are not communist countries.

Everyone would be better off ignoring that individual because by misrepresenting their ideas, they do a disservice to everyone. I don’t think they’re even tracking to the fact they do this.

There’s actually a decent amount of questioning in their private circles–Unfortunately, they convince themselves that such horrible and authoritarian things are for the greater good. I find it crazy that they celebrate the boot on their own neck.

From my experiences with extremists, they are all the same people. Anti-social people who can’t even be bothered to clean themselves or their homes, resort to drugs and addictions and have no social life or creativity. Instead of blaming themselves for these faults, they turn them to the world and ride the dopamine rush of a small group of people who insist they are in the right.

Well said. I don’t doubt that in the future, Communism will be the norm, assuming humanity will be kind.

But as you said, these users are not Communists.

Oh it won’t kill us all. It’ll just kill the poors.

not you and me certainly, but the poor in the third world who buy our rubbish because we rather ship it than recycle. Ridiculous.

Yeah it’s hilarious. They can move to any of these communist utopias at any time, immigration isn’t expensive and these nations will happily accept any westerners…

but none of them ever do it. Because they don’t actually care about communism.

Migration is expensive, and those countries aren’t communist, but still

They can certainly afford migration to Cuba, Vietnam and China. These nations aren’t particularly wealthy.
