Personally, I don’t like the cartoonyness of the KSP2 visuals. Everything looks shiny and fake in KSP2, while KSP1 (although definitely having lower graphical fidelity) has a more realistic feel to it. The things that should look dull are dull, the shiny things are shiny, and materials in general feel more natural.

Ah I see what you mean! Some of the KSP stock parts actually look pre used and grubby too, which I haven’t noticed in what I’ve seen of KSP2.
