But a straight dude dating a transwoman doesn’t somehow make him not straight. Marten is attracted to women, and is dating one. Nothing about this indicates he’s bi. What is there not to get here?

If fully transitioned then no I wouldn’t consider them bi.
If not though, then yes they are bi to some extent
