    How are they for rare usage? My last ink spewer dried up after each print because I had weeks between them. Switched to monochrome laser years ago but it’s getting old and it decides to print 20 pages of garbage on every fourth print or so.

      I think you’re probably fine. The inks themselves have a 2 year expiration date, but AFAIK that’s just a typical “Quality assured until” date. I’ve not heard any issues with long spans between prints, so long as it’s plugged in so it can do a bit of maintenance.

      Mine is going strong with the ink that came with it. Around five years too.

      Probably epson is going to enshittify the model, because they’re not making any money off of me (because their shit is actually working)

        HP on the other hand will never see a cent from me again, so keeping me happy will probably still pay off for Epson in the long run.
