We’re literally the laughing stock of the nation

I’ve heard Americans call us Texas/ Florida of the North

The problem is all the assholes who think that’s a good thing.

For the first time I’m thinking a lot about leaving, but it’s tough to leave my friends behind.

Honestly, my final straw will be if we end up pulling out of the CPP.

It’s all getting pretty tired and old. Seeing PP on the national stage isn’t helping either.

          My thoughts as well.

Have you given any thought as to where you’d go? Vancouver would be nice, but expensive. Somewhere in Europe maybe? The EU seems so reasonable compared to where we’re heading.

I’ve had about the same thoughts. New Zealand, as well. Possibly Japan.

I love Canada, but housing is out of control in a lot of places, which makes it a bit of a sticky situation.

I always forget about New Zealand! I did a trip there once and it was wonderful. Certainly a place I’d like to live. Japan was really nice to visit, but I fear I’d have a hard time adapting to the work culture.

I really like it here too, and that makes it more difficult to leave. Every time I go to the mountains I remind myself how lucky I am to be only a couple hours away, when it’s a place people around the world spend thousands of dollars to come visit for an afternoon. But there comes a point where the stupidity starts affecting my daily life.

My boss was talking about how the UCP is better for the economy than “the alternative”, but if they start chasing people away it’s going to be a disaster! It’s already nearly impossible to find a decent family doctor since a bunch of them already left.

I mean, I’m Albertan and I call us the Texas of the North.
