Now, I know what you’re thinkin’

“THAT’S GRANTS PASS! NOT PORTLAND!”

But hol’ up… hear me out… Portland has it’s own camping ban from 8 AM to 8 PM.

https://www.opb.org/article/2023/06/07/portland-oregon-approves-ban-daytime-street-camping-homeless/

They were supposed to start enforcing it back in November:

How the Supreme Court rules on this law in Grants Pass is going to impact Portland, San Francisco, Seattle and everyone else.

Like the scotusblog article reads:

“Without the ability to act, the city wrote, such encampments have led to “crime, fires, the reemergence of medieval diseases, environmental harm, and record levels of drug overdoses and deaths on public streets.””

Yea, that’s fair. Once medieval diseases begin reemerging, you should try to do something about them.

    Ah, I miss Oregon

But I’ll just add this in, the first thing I thought was oh scotus is largely a corrupt panel of s***birds so they’re probably doing something nefarious.

As a lover of Oregon, I personally like all manner of weirdos, vagrants, and hobos, but once they start s******* everywhere and getting people sick with their s*** splatters, I’m down with an objectively fair amount of regulation.
