Being real though, it isn’t that great. It lacks a certain degree of emotional resonance that Chapman’s voice and delivery brought to the song. His version is just standard country. That isn’t a bad thing, I like country. I like him, though he’s a bit generic at times. And that’s the issue with the cover, it comes across as a generic country song in terms of the singing (the lyrics are still amazing).

I love a good cover, and this is a good cover, but the original was great, so it just doesn’t rank the same
