Balsa from Seirei no Moribito.
If GitS is my #2 anime of all time, then SnM is my #1 and one of the reason is Balsa being such an absolute badass.
I just wish it had been more popular, because it’s a masterpiece T_T
I see people mention, Planetes which I also adore, but I’m not sure the pilot is that much of an intellectual, in my memories. Although I suppose that compared to the rest of the crew… :)
