Chuck Walter, a parent of two daughters at Coral Way K-8 Bilingual Center in Miami, posted a copy of a permission slip for a “read aloud” that his daughter would attend and participate in. The slip included the quiet part out loud: “Students will participate and listen to a book written by an African American.”
Florida is doing more and more outrageous and racist things, are they even being reviewed by our DOJ for legality?
Wow, I read the article hoping there was some reasonable explanation. Nope.
They’re not even subtle about it. Straight up racism.
Yeah, it’s pretty bad. I’m not sure who oversees the states for federal laws like that. Who would go after them?
