I asked if people chose iPhone for the blue bubbles elsewhere a couple days ago, and while there was some good discourse on that post, the blue bubbles definitely also came up as a reason.

In my experience, when people find out my texts are green, they oftentimes would rather switch to a different platform altogether like Instagram or just not text at all.

Is this actually a deal-breaker in friendships out there?

It wasn’t as binary for me, but as soon as them tried it none of my close friends ever deleted it. Makes life much easier.

I mean I still have a Facebook account and I will eventually respond to messages on Messenger, but anyone who wants to talk to me regularly, knows that Telegram is the way to go.

I don’t always use E2E because most things aren’t sensitive, but I’m happy to always have the ability.

I very rarely use e2ee, the convenience is just too great when you’re able to respond from any device. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that uses Messenger, maybe just regular Facebook messages like 7 years ago but nothing more than that haha
