    i’m not a native speaker, but i think theres an E missing in the long V-word.

    also, why is there a white line between tge Es in “NEEDS”?

    this is so confusing

      Sometimes native English speakers are less fluent than second-hand speakers of English

        There is a shockingly high number of Americans whose first language is English but cannot read or write.

          Yeah something like >50% of adults read at less than a 6th grade level.

          It’s part of why a lot of news articles are dumbed down so these people can comprehend them.

        This is just a guess, but I think the original author wrote NBEDS instead of NEEDS and fixed it after the fact by covering the right most edge of the B.
