So deeply irritated with people who keep undermining Rice’s impact to the team by bringing up Partey over and over again. What are we supposed to do about Partey’s vertical passes and press resistance when the man can’t be fit for two weeks running or without getting into legal troubles? He’s as good as gone for me. Doesn’t matter if he’s available or isn’t. Our future plans should not involve Thomas Partey.

    My team for tonight:

    Raya

    White - Saliba - Kiwior - Zinchenko

    Odegaard - Rice - Havertz

    Saka - Trossard - Martinelli

Subs: Ramsdale, Tomi, Gabriel, Elneny, MLS, Nwaneri, Nelson, Nketiah, Jesus

Would be good to get most of the long haul flight guys a rest. Jesus can come on for Martinelli later on with Trossard going wide left.

Why do Newcastle get treated like they’re an underdog? They’ve always been a rich club (albeit poorly managed) and got richer.

It is relative and contemporary. They are underdogs to clubs like PSG Madrid or Barca etc in Europe. This is their first season of CL. The owner wealth should not define their status.

Because they keep getting relegated, got owned and asset stripped by Mike Ashley (which genuinely would make me feel sorry for anyone except Chelsea, Stoke and Spurs) and have an English manager.

Oh wow! All of a sudden, Newcastle fans have the ability to declare a VAR decision as corrupt and a farce, I wonder why?

Never took long for karma to bite them in the ass.

And nothing will be learned at all, because football fans are short-sighted tribalistic shitheads.

PSG fans cackling until it’s their turn to cry foul.

United has yet to win a league game against a team in the top half of the table, let that sink in

The media fawning over plucky, lovable underdogs Saudicastle is disgusting. Wonder how many people they’ve beheaded this month?

A Mikel Arteta appreciation post. The boss is challenging Pep Guardiola who has been one of the top 3 managers in the world for a long time. Last season we did what we did, this season we are better than them defensively. And to think he inherited a problem squad and 200 games in in his first gig he made it this far. Arteta out people have to be the dumbest people in our fanbase. If he has made mistakes, he definitely has the room for that. He made far fewer mistakes than you’d expect for someone in his position

Maignan is borderline, he actually makes so many mistakes it’s insane, but since nobody actually watches serie a his reputation is flawless

We always do, it’a apparently blatantly obvious some people only do it when it affects them.

I mean we all are enjoying the fuck out if the karma but we absolutely also all fully admit that is an utterly fucking horrendous decision

      VAR failure.

That was not a VAR failure. That was a failure by the match official.

The distinction is important due to people calling for VAR to be scrapped altogether when it has been a net positive for the sport.
