As climate change-induced disasters rise, there’s an urgency to being prepared, and we can’t let the terminology separate us. I think one way we can bring all of these disparate preparedness groups together is to reclaim the term for what it is.

The prepper subculture has long been associated with the right but, with climate disasters on the rise, shouldn’t we all be thinking about how to better prepare ourselves and our communities?

    My vaguely leftist ass has been for ages. I’ve got a decent amount of supplies and enough ammo to hold out for a long while, assuming the issue isn’t so destructive I can’t stay where I am.
