I bet Richard finished his workout way before Georgia.
Real men make sure their workout buddy is properly stretching before hand.
Not only was my workout undetectable by any apple watch, I also cannot afford an apple watch. Checkmate.
Never got why people actually use those… like it’s really that hard to pull out your phone to pay for shit, or the watch you had before didn’t have the proper backlight or whatever…
I love mine, since I can control my media with it, see my texts at a glance, and ping my phone when it’s missing. Those features alone make it so that I’ll never want a dumb watch again.
Maybe it’s because I’m not really a smart phone person… I got all notifications turned off, even on my lock screen. The only sound it makes is when someone calls me or texts me. Regarding media, I have an old TV, it’s not smart, so I don’t actually need it. Reagarding the phone missing, this rarely happens and I usually just tell my wife to call my phone.
It’s personal preference. I’m a very smart tech person but like privacy and hate smart watches. But, they are handy and really life-changing for some.
Meeh, each to his own 🤷.
I aM vErY SmArT.
I keep most of my notifications off, but I hate my phone making sound and I’m not a fan of having to take it out of my pocket to check stuff.
With a smart watch I can just get a gentle vibration on my wrist when I get a text or something, and often tap it to send a reply.
It’s also a pedometer and if I’m walking I can use it to get pedestrian navigation directions without having to pull my phone out. It’s 100% because you’re not a smart phone person. They are worthless without a smart phone. I like mine because I can use it to check 2fa codes on my Authenticator app without needing to pull up my phone. Which I’m usually on my laptop or desktop when I need them so it is a measure more convenient than pulling out my phone.
I mean, I do have a smart phone (I’m typing from it right now 😂), but I see it as a tool, that’s it.
The 2FA thing, yeah, I agree, that could come in handy, I use 2FA a lot 😂.

I oddly have notifications pop up on the screen, but almost always have my sound/ringer off, lest it get loud at work, or while my kid is trying to sleep. I can’t do dumb tvs, since streaming is required (I mean anything not connected to like an Apple TV, or chrome cast or whatever). And my phone vibrating from a call isn’t loud enough for my wife calling it to be heard, but the ping will sound regardless of whether or not it’s on silent.

Yeah, I had a fitbit smart watch for a while, but replaced it with a Garmin Instinct. Battery lasts for weeks, can do GPS tracking, and show me notifications of apps I choose.
I just wish it didn’t look like a sports watch.
IDK, I never got used to watches to be honest. Thank god phones got somewhat mainstream around the turn of the century, so I didn’t have to wear one (I was about 16, 17 at the time, about the age where you’re supposed to not constantly keep asking people for the time).
Given that a watch is just always on your wrist it’s easier to carry when going for a run or into a store, while still allowing you to listen to music and receive calls. It also makes it less disruptive to look at notifications. And the payments work without any further authentication as long as the watch remains on your wrist, without fail (at least in my experience), whereas Apple Pay on the phone will ask for the phone passcode every now and then.
It can completely replace your phone when running. I leave everything at home when I run and use my watch for music, phone calls, and messaging. (I have the ultra w/ cellular)

You run?
You bet I do 😏.
