Can confirm. One of my colleagues, who I’ve mentored a ton over the last year and is turning into a really stellar engineer, put in his two weeks notice a few days ago and is moving to Canada. I don’t blame him at all, considering how de rigueur it is in tech for HR and leadership types to treat H1B workers like indentured servants.
