Now a disclaimer; I’m not FtM, but non-binary and struggling with vocal dysphoria. I’ve had voice masculinization therapy on my mind for a long while now, but unfortunately gender-affirming vocal therapy is near-nonexistent in the conservative country I live in. (fuck this place tbh) Therefore, I’ve been thinking of having sessions online instead, but I’ve had difficulties finding any practitioners or services. Even the few I have found, were extremely expensive at $120-150 USD per individual session! Needless to say I cannot afford that sort of budget (@_@;)

So… any online recommendations where I can get therapy for cheaper than this? Any and all advice is much needed and appreciated.

You’re non-binary, so this may not apply to you, but I’ve heard for FtM that HRT helps deepen vocal chords.

You may be able to watch some TransVoiceLessons videos on YouTube and work on the opposite of what they’re teaching. It’s mostly geared towards feminization, but there are some good exercises that should help you with getting started?

    Good luck ❤️

I’m not sure if this is helpful, but it might be worth looking into online advice for training the voice towards feminine transitions, and trying to reverse that? For example, one of the things I’ve read is that women tend to speak at a more steady pitch – not monotonous, but I guess it means that men tend to speak with a lot more range in each sentence? What I’m getting at is that the suggestions for changing the voice in that direction might be helpful to you in in figuring out how to make your own voice sound more masculine. That doesn’t necessarily mean you need to speak in a deeper tone, there are plenty of men with high voices just like there are plenty of women with deeper voices, but it comes down to the manner in which you speak… I think?

(And I just realized this is essentially the same advice given by the previous poster, I guess we were both thinking the same thing.)
