      According to their statement they’ll still be offering HoloISO as an option for users. It’s possible they were just using it to leverage msft for a cheaper license.

      As long as the platform supports SteamOS (or a fork of it), I don’t care what it ships with.

        I do - because shipping with Windows means that I pay for a Windows license when buying the product.

          Yup, it hijacks the price more. Like how computers could be cheaper if they hadn’t windows

            In some cases, forgoing the Windows license actually costs more because all the crapware they pre-install subsidizes the cost of the hardware. It really depends on vendor though. I got a $40 discount by complaining to Lenovo saying I didn’t want their Windows license, but it still came pre-installed (I’m guessing the license was valid too, but I never tried it) because it’s too expensive to change production processes to offer something different.
