Whataboutism is using irrelevant examples. As my example pertains directly to the argument of “using the report button” it is very relevant because it examplifies selective enforcement of the rules.

In any case I am glad the mod team is trying to work out more consistent rules. If I might bring a suggestion I would ask to focus less on the source of an article and more on whether the claims in the article have proper sourcing and evidence.

We know all too well that every initial article debunking the fraudulent NYT propaganda was swiftly deleted for “not being credible on the MBFC site”. Which is ran by one dude with obvious biases but somehow gets treated like the Bible.

The /news mod team is not a monolith, @TheKingOfFlorida was not the person that deleted my post.

My goal is to bring attention to the matter so improvements can be made, not to throw the entire mod team under the the bus.

There is debate within the /news mod team, they’re not anywhere close to being as bad as the Reddit mods.

Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and let them handle this internally.

What an absurd comment, who is upvoting this clown? The person they are accusing of all but being an IDF plant is not even from that sub’s mod team. They are totally unrelated
