Louisiana GOP Gov. Jeff Landry has declared a state of emergency due to a police officer shortage.

Landry’s executive order issued Thursday lifts limits on how many new employees Louisiana sheriffs can hire and on payroll increases for their departments.

Landry, who previously had a career in law enforcement, said that police departments in the state are experiencing record-low employments “resulting in increased crime and less public safety.” As of July, sheriff’s offices statewide were down 1,800 deputies, Landry said.

    Yep we are in the middle of a full on fascist surge, and the reprehensibles are gathering their troops. It’s going to get really bad soon and no one seems interested in actually addressing this.

      Yeah. Antifa. They’ve been fighting fascists since 1920s and part of their rationale for autonomous action is that the state is just notoriously bad at opposing fascism. That’s why they protest against right wing fascist gateway speakers on campuses, because fascist speech / well crafted lies is fascist recruitment. Unfortunately well meaning “liberals” like e.g. Bill Maher then always come out of the woodwork and say bla bla free speech lol.
      There is also liberal fascism that uses legal means but that’s already pretty active in the US.

          Haha oops! Yeah he’s just an example though. Well I’d say they grew up and lived in a time where the economy had real growth so there were opportunists and they got wealthy - so they fundamentally don’t understand the power of fascism as material conditions deteriorate. They are stupid and that is dangerous.

                The middle east is in a bad place largely do to empire fuckery not folks arming themselves. I simply disagree with the whole eye for an eye shit, especially when it comes to fascists. If you could defeat a fascist by shoving a thumb up your ass the world would be a far better place. Authoritarians of all stripes fascist or not can only be truly dealt with via violence or the implication there of.

                Pacifism is simply a cowards way to claim bravery.

                    Also I aint calling for use of firearms against the US military thats suicidal. Im calling for the use of firearms against shistain neo-nazi marching into cities and the cops if they try protecting them. It worked during the union wars to teach scabs, sheriffs, and pinkertons their place.

                    Also id of loved to storm one of those border patrol prisons and gun down those sonsofbitches, but sadly enthusiasm an army does not make. Part of the reason I call for increased armament is because I hope to see the resurrection of groups like the first black panthers, the anti-bund militias, and the old union militias. But my reach is limited since im just a random leftwing SoCal redneck in fucking San Bernardino, I am surrounded by dipshits who would welcome the fucking nazis.
