      This is why as someone not from the US, the idea of a presidential pardon is extremely questionable.

      What’s the point of separation of powers, if you can just pardon anyone?

      I absolutely see a future for the US where there is a political assassination, and the president just pardons the perpetrator. Of course, something like that doesn’t happen in a vacuum, but democracy isn’t built on loose rules. Y’all need to lock that shit down, like yesterday.
