You are a mod right? (Can’t check because I’m on phone right now but I kind of remember seeing you before)
If so, I’m sorry, I’m really not blaming you or telling you guys to do a better work, at least not directly, I used to browse askreddit by new sometimes and support questions didn’t appear that frequently so in principle I brlive this is a problem of “culture” and people being lazy not reading the rules…
Yah, but the askreddit mods had to remove stuff like this a lot. If you sorted by new there, you’d see a few of these an hour. Tons of other rule ignoring questions as well.
As shitty as that sub could be, the mods actually did a ton of work keeping it from being even worse.
I sorted by new over there more than a few times and I don’t remember this kind of posts being as frequent (here it feels like it’s over half of every one that pops into my fronypage), although I can see more strict and faster moderation being a factor, I also attribute this in part to this site culture.
This is not a support community, seriously why is there so much confusion arpund that does no one read the rules???
Even if they didn’t, AskReddit is one of the biggest subs how come people don’t know how this is supposed to work?
Guess people think I need a hobby.
