There are people who have been on the wait list for years, spending thousand of dollars that they don’t have to begin with because latin american jobs don’t pay well. Immigrants do not qualify for most forms of welfare. My girlfriend was born in the U.S., lived in a foreign country for most of her life, then came back and became disabled. She was not eligible for a shit load of things because she had no work history, despite being a full U.S. citizen.
For actual immigrants it is even worse. So this point of yours doesn’t hold any water, especially considering that immigrants are a net benefit to the economy (and therefore tax revenue).
And those are not infinite. If we dont use them wisely, we will run into shortages.
