A few weeks ago I posted that my greyhound Greta was in the hospital, and so many of you left such nice comments and well wishes - thank you! She’s been back home for a couple weeks now and is doing great.

Here she is with her latest bandage (featuring a G💚 decoration because my vet’s office is the best!):

Fun fact: greyhounds’ heads are narrower than their necks so the cone just slips right off!

( Her brain is just a dried up old corn kernel rattling around so her head doesn’t need to be that big anyway! ;) )

Lol that’s pretty mean. But also based on my experience with greyhounds surprisingly accurate.

My uncle used to say that their entire brain was taken up by their programming for running around a track and they didn’t have any room left in there.

            I bet!

I wish your lovely lady a speedy recovery. I bet she likes to be speedy, so that shouldn’t be too hard.

Yay!! I’m glad she’s doing fine!

How is she about licking the bandage? Ours is an absolute maniac and the times she’s had even the smallest bandage she doesn’t stop licking it. Also freaks out with the cone

Me too!! She’s been pretty good about leaving it alone, but I do have to keep a close eye on her. Unfortunately a cone isn’t an option for us (greyhound heads are narrower than their necks, so the cone slides right off).
