The Democrats treat this like a race to the bottom and run the most centrist candidates they think they can get away with. And if they ever lose, they just scream at the left for not supporting them enough.
Already having a nominee is a big factor here. I hope you didn’t hear this kind of thing about Biden 2021, 2022…
