        Up until now, AirBnB was more concerned about upsetting their providers. Now that local governments are starting to crack down, AirBnB now is more worried about staying in business. Especially if they end up on the losing end of multiple privacy lawsuits.

      You didn’t read the article, did you.

      Cameras in private areas have always been banned.

      Cameras in common areas have been allowed until now, provided they were disclosed and not hidden.

      If a property has multiple unrelated guests, like a hotel, Cameras in common areas aren’t nefarious in intent.

        The problem ks AirBnb doesn’t do shit about either. Just like this article.

        “Oh. They shouldn’t have cameras. Oh well. Anyways…”

        There are zero penalties for a host who puts cameras wherever the duck they want unless you privately pursue your own separate legal action.
