Not your fault if your internal clock wants to be awake at a different range, yet you are forced to use another.

This may be the case for some people, but way more people just have shitty sleep hygiene habits

That’s what I was thinking, like my sleep is shit but I know it’s my fault because I hop into bed and proceed to cycle between youtube shorts, Lemmy and d&d sourcebooks on my bright-ass phone for hours. Bonus points for a blue light filter cranked all the way up so I feel better about giving my future self dementia due to sleep deprevation

I actually want to see a popup like this, with the picture. Something even more horrifying for those under 4 hour nights. Like those lung cancer pictures on ciggys. Perhaps it could help mould my behavior.

It wouldn’t help. It just makes you super stressed and have shit quality sleep in those short hours. Don’t ask me why I know.

I’m not trying to shame you or anything OP, but it seems quite possible that you saw that message, then decided it would be funny to post, then created it and posted it before falling asleep.

Because personally I would think of this joke, and if I didn’t immediately post it, I would forget about it by morning and the post would never happen.

5 ml of Benadryl 1 hour before bed might knock you out?

Edit: My comment was not all that well thought out. I just recently observed my kid sleep instantly once the cough medicine kicked in. As others have pointed out, don’t use it consistently, could cause dementia and is super dangerous in high doses.

    Do drugs responsibly kids!

4 1/2 hours is about what I do now that I fixed my sleep. At my worst I was doing about 90 minutes. At 90 minutes of light sleep you slowly start to lose your mind. I became paranoid and suicidal. 2/10, would not recommend.

Split sleep schedule kings don’t have this issue. 4 hours at night and two after work. That’s all you need.
