They never said they’re not gonna make another Witcher.
They did said they’re not gonna make Geralt as the MC if they ever make a new one.

That’s what I was referring to, but yeah, maybe it was just that they couldn’t carry on with the same storyline.
I think it means the same thing sprinkled with some poor communication. In the article they’re adding that you can’t make a 4th game if it was supposed to be a trilogy.
Which means in the context of the story the “4th” game is a new game in the same universe.
I get what you mean tho. Maybe it shluldn’t be called Witcher 4 anymore. However from business perspective it would makes sense to use a well-established brand name.
Awesome! Not bashing the game but the cyberpunk genre just doesn’t appeal to me. Really looking forward to this. I’m hoping they go with a different Witcher though.
and then Witcher 5 and 6 woo. Why come up with a new idea when you can just milk this one.
