Currently deleting 7 years of my time on Reddit across 4 accounts, holding back just the gilded comments to edit as a final fuck you.
@pterodactyl Remember that any subs which are still dark, you cannot see/delete. So you’ll have to keep checking, at least until the API is turned off, to make sure you got everything.

I’m sure someone else just posted they got permabanned for deleting all their old comments 😂 I need someone technologically minded to make a code to write over all my old posts, preferably with spez insults/pics of John Oliver.
This is the level of pettiness that I adore! It’s so annoying it came to this but Reddit is literally shooting itself in it’s head. The more salt we can put on this wound the better! Too bad I was more of a lurker than poster otherwise I’d want to do the same
@ThaijsClan I changed about 4500 comments to an edited one pointing users to lemmy and kbin, along with instructions on how to choose an instance. Hopefully it’ll direct at least a couple people here.
That’s great! It’d definitely help a lot of other people. I found out about Lemmy on my own after a ton of research. Having one of your comments to follow would’ve been so nice!
@SomeoneElse I used Power Delete Suite, it appears to have an option to overwrite instead of straight deleting though it sounds like some forums have got wind of it! https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite/
@pterodactyl I deleted my 12 year old account yesterday. Sad to leave, after so long, but an alternative will pop up - maybe it’ll be kbin, we’ll find out.
I see you exported everything first. Do you plan to repost them or are they more for your own sake?
