    That’s because most states don’t do maintenance and just request emergency funds when the neglect piles up.

          I would guess it has much more to go with the fact that corporate and wealth taxes were dissolved and the GOP has been on a “privatize all government services” rampage for the last 50 years

        Federal funding doesn’t decrease. There’s more money being spent on infrastructure than ever.

          Probably not when you adjust for inflation.

          DEFINITELY not when you account for all the money that goes into the pockets of corrupt politicians and their friends without ever being used on maintaining or improving infrastructure.
