I’m sure that’s better than most places, but the vast majority of workplace communication could be done through email and not much would change.

I don’t have to worry about any of it these days but it was definitely an annoyance to have my workflow interrupted just to go listen to a bunch of bullshit that either wasn’t relevant to me or wasn’t important enough to interrupt my day. As we saw during the peak of COVID, much of the office bullshit was just office bullshit.
