I am convinced people do keto only because they want to a) lose weight and b) love cheese and meat, especially bacon. And I am also convinced they overdo it on meat and eat WAY too little greens. Plus a lot of them probably do not cut out sugary drinks, soda, beer and so on. And thus the gout. Am I wrong?

Its not keto if you dont cut out sugary drinks and beer lol. Literally liquid carbs. I dont even drink soda anyways and usually only drink beer socially.

I think my issue was that i didnt plan or put any thought into it, so my macro nutrients were not balanced. Definitely a lot more fatty foods to fresh veggies than i should’ve. Also all the oily and fatty foods caused me to get zits INSIDE my mouth on my gums. That was actually the tipping point for me, not the gout. Zits on your gums puts pressure on your teeth giving tooth aches then when they pop you get zit juice in your mouth, yum!

Another thing that made it hard for me to keep on it was that I had to home cook every meal. There are keto options you can buy at the store but I thought they all tasted like poo. Cauliflower crust pizza was such a letdown it crushed all my hopes and dreams with a single bite.

So between the gout, mouth zits, and high effort, I just decided to give up and be pudgy.

Im pretty sure that all fad diets actually work on the premise of cutting out snacking and processed foods under the guise of a psuedo-science diet anyways.

There are people who do it 100% correctly and people who just need excuse to eat more meat. And 90% of us are somewhere inbetween.
