People are literally dropping dead in a climate change driven 48C heat wave in India, and right wing people are wondering how many libs they will trigger with their I heart oil bumper stickers.

Rolling coal in their emotional support trucks will give them cancer, too. And more prolonged exposure relative to the amount subjected to the rest of us, “to own the libs.”

How do you think electricity gets made for your electric car? And how about them batteries. Your position is hypocritical.

Thank you for your genuine interest in electricity generation in my local area. The electricity mix where I’m from is a combination of wind, nuclear, and hydro electric. In emergencies we have a backup combustion system that will kick in. My power company publishes a neato dashboard all about it, it’s actually at most 1/6th and usually 1/12th or lower g/MWH CO2 VS coal fired power production.

But curiously enough, even if it were run entirely on coal, my electric car would still produce much less CO2 over its lifespan, and have the potential to get cleaner as grids improve, since gasoline is so much more CO2 intense and Ice engines are so mature without much more room for serious efficiency gains.

I’m super glad you were curious enough to ask me such open ended questions, and really happy that my work in this area gave me the knowledge to answer your obviously genuine questions. Now you can be proud to know something you didn’t know a few minutes ago becuase of your open mindedness.

          Ice engines.

Are they engines powered by ice?

Are they engines that produce ice?

Are they engines powered by internal combustion engines?

Are they engines that produce internal combustion engines?

          Who knows.

It’s the last thing, internal Combustion engine engine, they produce smaller internal Combustion engines on every stroke.

    “Humor”

The others don’t laugh along because they find the jokes funny, they just do it to show approval and encouragement of saying slurs or degrading women or whatever

“Humor” is how the body copes with getting unexpected information. A crafted joke sets up an expectation, then subverts it. Every joke is essentially that. Have you ever heard a conservative “joke” where you didn’t see the punchline coming from a mile away. That’s why they only have “one joke” for every topic.

Yeah, there’s a big difference between

          A) telling jokes that make light of a somewhat touchy or controversial subject, which people like Jimmy Carr and Anthony Jeselnik are masters of and

          B) telling jokes about how persecuted minorities are insane and should not be “indulged” in their “delusion” like Babylon Bee and every unfunny far right bigot do.

In case you couldn’t tell, I’m a huge fan of A when done well and absolutely deplore B…

Who should? I’ve seen most of the shows of both of the comedians I mentioned and at no point has either advocated murdering a single Roma person, let alone all. I think you might be imagining things.

I’m referring to Jimmy Carr who had articles written about how him saying the Roma people being killed in the holocaust was a good thing. But also, almost every time I have seen him in a show, he’s punching down towards the Roma people specifically.

I always looked at Team America as a satire of right wing thought. Basically the Bush worldview taken to comical extremes.

I know Parker and Stone are lolbertarians, but they managed to actually skewer the right pretty well back in the day.

Reminds me of this shirt I don’t care if your feelings are offended.
And I’m like… okay but why are you such an asshole person that you don’t care? If you were a decent human being, you wouldn’t just want to just hurt someone’s feelings, that’s just… being an asshole.

This is mostly accurate. I think it’s classic in-group/out-group psychology where they enjoy making a straw man out of their opponents, then mocking the straw man (who is presumably “triggered” despite not existing).

Worth pointing out that no one is immune from this type of tribalism. Even if it is applied more lazily by one side.
